Eldest son of the Late Willett.Lawrence.Adye. Esquire J.P an D.L Formerly of Merly, County of Dorset: Deeply Lamented by his Bereaved Family and Sincerely Regretted by all who Knew Him. Margaret his second and surviving Wife,(Who Subsequently married The Rev Tho Coker A.M. Rector of Mappowder) Died in 1789 Aged 84 Years. Amy the Sister of the Said Margaret and the Widow of Issac Lester an Eminent Merchant of This Place, Died August 6th 1788 Aged 84 Years. The above Margaret and Amy were two of the Daughters of the Reverend Matthew Bowles, A.M. Formerly Rector of Corfe Castle. Elizabeth Tivertoe Sister of Mr Samuel Bowles Died April 7th 1788 aged 78 years

Fawconer Memorial photographed in St. James’ Church, Poole, September 2015 Information included: This Monument To The Memory of the Rev’d Samuel Fawconer M.A. Late Vicar of Osmington, and Twenty Years Minister of this Parish was erected August 27th1788 by Martha his surviving Widow. He was a Man of Strong Genius sound Erudition and of just taste. His determined perseverance in the Discharge of his parochial duties was such as commanded Respect. He died January the 23rd 1788 in the 61st Year of his Age. His remains and those of his first Wife Elizabeth Daughter of Sir Sebastian Swale Bar’t lie buried in the opposite aisle Also of Martha Fawconer Widow of the above Samuel who died 24th March 1818
