Extract from Salisbury Journal 22nd January 1753 describing a violent storm which had fatal consequences. The "Young Green" of Poole was lost off the Isle of Wight, the master, Pearce and two men saved, but six men lost.

Transcription of extract from the Salisbury Journal 11th March 1740 reads:
"The ship which Capt. Wadham found at sea, without any person on board, and put his mate and 5 hands into it is safely arrived at Pool. The ship and cargo will amount to several thousand pounds."
