Extract from Salisbury Journal 17th 1747 describes celebrations led by George Tito on the occasion of William Belchier returning as Member of parliament for the Borough of Southwark.

Transcription of extract from Salisbury Journal 4th May 1747 reads: "Poole. April 22nd. Yesterday in the evening, William Belchier, Esq. gave a handsome entertainment to some gentlemen of this Corporation, and offered himself a candidate to represent it in Parliament at the next General Election."
